Storyline:
Pope Julius is eager to leave behind works by which he will be remembered. To this end he cajoles Michelangelo into painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. When not on the battlefield uniting Italy, the Pope nags Michelangelo to speed up his painful work on the frescoes.

A very interesting film combining great acting from Charles Heston and Rex Harrison and beautifully crafted visually depicting an eternal period in history which is the painstakingly finish the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. Outstanding acting and talents are clearely shwon fromt he period. This film is a must for all history buffs.
